Round Cut Diamonds

242 certified round cut diamonds available

The round brilliant is the most researched shape in diamond cutting: 57 to 58 facets engineered over a century to return the maximum possible light to the eye. That optical engineering is why rounds account for roughly two-thirds of all engagement ring center stones — and why they command a premium over every other shape.

Because brilliance hides imperfections, a well-cut round lets you relax color and clarity grades without a visible difference: many buyers find their sweet spot at G–H color and VS2–SI1 clarity, spending the savings on cut quality or carat weight instead.

Round Cut Diamonds: common questions

Why are round diamonds more expensive than other shapes?+

Cutting a round brilliant wastes more of the rough crystal than any other shape — often 60% — and demand is the highest of any shape. Expect to pay 15–30% more than a comparable oval or cushion.

What cut grade should I choose for a round diamond?+

Cut is the most important C for rounds. Stay at Excellent or Ideal; the sparkle difference against a Good cut is visible across a room, while a one-step color difference usually is not.

Do round diamonds look bigger than other shapes?+

Per carat, rounds have a smaller face-up area than elongated shapes like ovals or pears — but their brilliance makes them read larger than their measurements suggest.
