1. Does your engagement ring sit low and flush, or does the stone ride high? Flush → straight band. High or halo → curved band.
2. Sparkle or metal? If your eye goes to diamonds first, you want an eternity or pavé band; if to the metal, a polished classic.
3. Hands in gloves, gyms, or gardens daily? Choose bezel-set stones or plain metal — prongs and daily abuse don't mix.
4. Would you rather match or contrast your engagement ring's metal? Match for timeless, contrast for editorial. There is no third option that works.
5. Will you stack later? Leave room: choose 2mm now if you dream of an anniversary band beside it.

Mostly straight/metal/plain answers: shop classic and matte bands. Mostly curved/sparkle answers: shop eternity, pavé, and curved bands. Split down the middle: a half-set diamond band is the universal compromise.
